The Gas Mask, Respirator or Escape Hood must be selected for protection against a specific hazard. The cautions, limitations and restriction of use provided with the Gas Mask, Respirator or Escape Hood must be strictly followed. If your mask does not make a tight seal all the way around your face when you inhale, you may breathe contaminated air that leaks around the edges of the face seal. Anything that prevents the Face piece/ Mask from fitting tightly against your face, such as a beard or long sideburns, may cause leakage. Some Gas Masks or Respirators available in different sizes, and fit different people differently because people's faces have different shapes. You also need training to know how to correctly put on the Gas Mask, Respirator or Escape Hood and wear it correctly.

No, do not use any detergent, spirit or solvent cleaner. Immerse the Face piece/ Mask in warm water containing a dilute soap solution. Rinse the mask in clean water and allow to air dry.

You must always choose a filter/ filtering canister suitable for the contaminants known to be in the atmosphere or likely to be released into the atmosphere.

When being used CBRN agents, the mask must be used with a special CBRN filter canister that can remove the agents. In conventional non-CBRN situations the mask be used with filter/ filtering canister suitable for the application. Wrong choice of the filter/ filtering canister may result in the Gas Mask providing little or no protection against the contaminated atmosphere, may adversely affect the wearer's health, may lead to severe illness, permanent disability or death.

A clear Outsert assembly is available for general use. It enhances protection for the visor against scratches and impact from high velocity particles (Ballistic Protection). A sunlight Outsert assembly is available for high UV situations.

There are two sizes available with a few buckle fit allowing quick donning for MPG-IZOD and PPM-88 Panoramic Masks: Size 1 – Small; Size 2 – Large. There are three sizes for nosecups: Size M – Small; Size C – Medium; Size Б – Large.

Wearers must always conduct a negative pressure fit check prior to use to make sure the Mask will seal to the face. Only use the Mask if a fit check is satisfactorily completed.
